Boy O Boy

I would like to present the first picture of our son!

We went for our "you are over 35 and your daughter has a birth defect" level two ultrasound yesterday. The very first picture confirmed a boy very decisively. We are very excited and happy to report we have a healthy baby boy.

How awesome! I'm so glad HE is healthy. T's Indians clothes will be put to good use one day on him. Now you've got a set! ha ha

CONGRATS!!!! I'm almost speechless. Wow. I guess, I thought you were going to have another girl. But, hey...now we can swap stories on lives with both a daughter and a son.

Now everything will balance out quite well...

One piece of advice: in a pinch, you can use pink on a boy; they don't care and as long as you're secure in your manhood, they'll be fine too. (Yes, we have done that when we've run out of onesies; believe me, it can happen.)

Oh, and congrats!

How excellent! I'll admit that I'm surprised you found out it's a little guy. Wish I could pass on baby boo's stuff for your, but they'll be SOOO close in age. Congrats on one of each. :-)

Not to mention the Ohio State stuff. Well, maybe not the cheerleader outfit... :)

It's true I had been claiming all along that it'd be a girl, but my heart told me it was a boy.

I plan on buying my boy so much blue and black that he'd never have to worry about it. But I'm secure enough to put my son in pink, if need be.

We waffled on it for a while, but when it came down to it, we really didn't have a choice. Even if we didn't care to know, he wanted us to

A boy? Woo-hoo! One of each. You're set now.

Time to start thinking names. How about Ruprecht Aloysius? Zebulon Benedict? Or you could go all soap-opera with something like Ridge Brooklake Helsel III.

My initial thought was something on the order of Dominic Oswald, as I like the way the initials work themselves out, but you bring up a valid point: Dominic Oswald doesn't sound... hrm... significant enough. It doesn't adequately relate the importance of the child to society. Maybe something on the order of:

Frederich Erlanger
Llewellyn Ulysses Salvatore
Kingsley Ignatius Thurman Torrence Edgerton

For just a few...

OK... you got me thinking along the lines of intials now...

How about:

Machiavelli Orlando Sanderford
Bartholomew Aloysius Sterling
Wendell Ignatius Theodosio
Mordred Underhill Charlemagne

(Actually, I kind of like the last one... but I'm kinda weird like that.)

hehehe! OK, that's fun. Might have to try a few more...

Sacheverell Manassah Alford Samson
Buford Abram Schubert
Trajan Horace Aaron Socrates
Darnell Ishmael Thurgood Spencer
Carmine Argosy Tristan Clement
