After the butcher who claimed was a nurse punctured my veins multiple times in an attempt to get blood for a life insurance physical, I've pretty much sworn off all needles.
Oh I hate needles too. However many years ago my New Year's resolution has been to get over that fear. I am still working on it, but this has been a resolution I have kept.

And I'm very proud of Amelia. Giving blood isn't easy for her (low iron and general wooziness after giving), but she keeps signing up time after time.
